Robin Hood Army

I started my journey with the Robin Hood army in the month of May. With RHA I volunteered by picking up and distributing the food from restaurants like Starbucks and the Forest to the needy. In the scorching heat of Delhi, spreading and looking at the smiles of the people when they got the food, made me realize how even a tiny action can truly make a difference in some people's lives.

On World Food Huger Day, I along with other RHA members, distributed food in the Rk Puram cluster to over 300  people. The moment the kids there saw us coming with bags of food, they all quickly surrounded us with joy. We started distributing food one by one, and at the end as a surprise, we also cut cakes. The people were extremely enthusiastic and the stray dogs and pets at their homes were filled with joy. From house to house we distributed a packet of milk, and in return received blessings from the elders. I'm grateful I'm part of the Robin Hood Army, and looking forward to learning more and getting greater exposure.

Distributed food in Rose Park cluster, along with the team we collected food from a donor and around 5.30pm, distributed snacks like macaroni and samosas. Kids were the happiest and all most everyone come back and back to get food for each of their family members. Kids there also learned to share, as many of the friends shared samosas with one another. Although our fingers  were on fire while distributing piping hot samosas, the feeling of making people happy made us forget all that

Similarly, I volunteered for many more rides, and in no time completed my first 10 drives. I'm grateful for the opportunity I was given.
